Yeah, my American "every problem has a solution" mentality has it's problems but shoganai can definitely go the other way when people really mean "this seems hard to fix" or "I don't want to get involved" and that always annoys me too.

In English teaching here there seems to be a lot of shoganai-ing about teaching methods and learning outcomes, too.
